Allah is sufficient

Wealth is everyone's dream and trial. Rich or poor, we all want and need money. And with this, Allah tests us. Will you remain grateful? patient? What do we do when we finally have it? Some of us desperately want this because we are tired of being mocked, belittled, and cut because we somehow have nothing to offer. But why do we want to please these people? When Allah himself doesn't like these individuals who prefer this world. Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala said: مَنْ كَفَرَ بِا للّٰهِ مِنْۢ بَعْدِ اِيْمَا نِهٖۤ اِلَّا مَنْ اُكْرِهَ وَقَلْبُهٗ مُطْمَئِنٌّ بِۢا لْاِ يْمَا نِ وَلٰـكِنْ مَّنْ شَرَحَ بِا لْكُفْرِ صَدْرًا فَعَلَيْهِمْ غَضَبٌ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ ۚ وَلَهُمْ عَذَا بٌ عَظِيْمٌ "Whoever disbelieves in Allah after his belief, except for one who is forced [to renounce his religion] while his heart is secure in faith, but those who [willingly] open their breasts to disbelief, upon them is wrath from Allah, and for them is a great punishment;" ذٰلِكَ ب...

Fear is a type of worship.

Fear is a type of worship that Allah commanded us.  The evidence for fear is the saying of the Most High: So do not fear them, but fear Me and beware of disobeying Me, if you are truly believers. [Quran 03:175] [Fear is of three types : { Fear of worship: It is fear of the worshipper for the one he worships. It involves complete submission and glorification for the one being feared. It is major shirk if done for other than Allah. Natural fear : Such as fearing a fire, an enemy, a predatory animal, one's parents etc, This is permissible. Prohibited fear: Loosing hope in the mercy of Allah or obeying creation in disobedience to the Creator. } Reference : (From the book of "Explanation of the three fundamental principles."  By Shayk Haytham ibn Muhammad Sarhān.)] As the modern world advances with technology, committing inappropriate and unlawful acts from the comfort of our own homes is one click away.  Our innocent boys and girls are getting addicted to pornograp...

Reliance is a type of worship that most us fail to remember.

Reliance is a type of worship that most of us miss in our daily lives. Some of us are too dependent on our own selves. We worn out our body to work hard towards these "dreams", "status", and "fear" of poverty. We forget everything that is happening to us are all temporary meaning this will all come to pass and good things will eventually come. We fail to remember the beautiful attributes of Allah, that he is The Provider, The Best of Sustainer and the Most Generous. I've read a post of a person who is worried about their debts and her husband spending too much on his parents. Muslims that are relying on bank loaning house, car and etc with riba (interest) or scamming people to build their "dream house" such lack of patience towards goals in this life. These worldly matters tend to make us vulnerable on disobeying Allah.  When Allah said: "There is no moving creature on earth but that its sustenance lies with Allah." [Qur...

Where to find halal restaurants in Luzon

Dasmarias, Cavite, is located 30 kilometers south of Manila, with more than five free public parks, a functional overpass for PWDs, roads with butterflies, hundreds of trees, and more. I think this city is doing great for its residents.   You'll be surprised at how diverse this city is. From different nationalities, to food, and to religion. People are living together harmoniously in here, except if your landlord is charging you more than what the owner imposes. Yes, that's kind of a problem here in some apartments and dormitories.   The DLSU-D and Emilio Aguinaldo College are mostly the reason why this city is so alluring to foreigners. Dasmarias is not only friendly to foreigners; they are also warm to different religions. There are Hinduism, Christianity, and, of course, Islam.   I can say as a person who is a traveler and was not born and raised in Cavite, I have never seen a city in Luzon that is more friendly with Muslims than Dasmarias. Allowing and accepting...

Who are you without hijab?

Some of my close friends and relatives might get hurt with this post. But note, this is for everyone.. for every Muslima. A year ago, I told myself, Im not gonna post any personal insights on social media for the reason that I don't want to be judge, since I don't like toxic comments in view of the fact that not all people would understand what's deep inside of our thoughts. We might have good intentions, but not everyone wants to hear the truth. I'm not perfect, I make mistakes but I'm trying my best as much as I can to be the best that I can. I can't change the world and I can't change anyone, however, I'm here---right now facing my fear to remind you. That you are an honorable muslima.  We all have our reasons and excuses behind our actions. Still, these grounds and measures will be questioned by the one who have the power of over all things. So, hear me out, you might not have come across this post by coincidence.  Allah (swt) said in the Quran: “O P...

5 tips to get a good job in Saudi Arabia.

Is it your first time working abroad? Because I am! and I'm happy to share how I got here in Saudi Arabia, working in the best working place. Yes, it is true! It's a nice working place where they give you food allowance, 110% payment for overtime, housing and transportation allowance if you live outside the accommodation, and of course the service award after working 2 years or more than 10 years. Not everyone has this same situation. Some of us expected to have a nice boss, a decent job, and a good working environment, yet all of this was just the dream of some Filipinos who got deceived. Except if we are all going to be more wise and do some research before deciding where to apply, it's not going to happen to you. That is why I'm here to share some tips, so we are all going to be on the same page. 1.  Do not rush: Before going to Manila, try to look for a job first on workabroad.com or on Jobstreet. List down the job position, name of agency, address of agency, and na...

How to get OMA certificate in Manila?

Assalamualaykum! Today, I will be sharing how to get a "Certificate of Muslim Filipino Tribal Membership" and a "Certificate of Confirmation of Conversion to Islam," also known as an OMA Certificate.   When I converted to Islam, I didn't have any idea about the OMA certificate until I decided to go to Saudi Arabia; that's the only time I discovered that I needed it for visa stamping.   I've written this because not everyone knows where to go or how to get it. The good news is that the OMA certificate is completely free! and you can have it in just 30 minutes. Now, let me guide you step-by-step on how to get it. Note :  The policy and process might change, as I have written this 2017 Comment down below if you have experienced a new policy; it will be very helpful to others.   Let's make sure first that you have all the requirements that you need.   Requirements for born Muslims: -xerox copy of Aqeeqa -xerox copy of passport - 1...
