Allah is sufficient

Wealth is everyone's dream and trial. Rich or poor, we all want and need money. And with this, Allah tests us. Will you remain grateful? patient? What do we do when we finally have it?

Some of us desperately want this because we are tired of being mocked, belittled, and cut because we somehow have nothing to offer.

But why do we want to please these people? When Allah himself doesn't like these individuals who prefer this world.

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala said:

"Whoever disbelieves in Allah after his belief, except for one who is forced [to renounce his religion] while his heart is secure in faith, but those who [willingly] open their breasts to disbelief, upon them is wrath from Allah, and for them is a great punishment;"

"That is because they preferred the worldly life over the Hereafter and that Allah does not guide the disbelieving people."

Quran 16:106-107

Can't we be happy with what the Almighty has written for us?
Would you prefer to befriend Satan?

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala said:

اَلشَّيْطٰنُ يَعِدُكُمُ الْـفَقْرَ وَيَأْمُرُكُمْ بِا لْفَحْشَآءِ ۚ وَا للّٰهُ يَعِدُكُمْ مَّغْفِرَةً مِّنْهُ وَفَضْلًا ۗ وَا للّٰهُ وَا سِعٌ عَلِيْمٌ
"Satan threatens you with poverty and orders you to immorality, while Allah promises you forgiveness from Him and bounty. And Allah is all-encompassing and knowing."
(QS. Al-Baqara 2: Verse 268)

We are so impatient that we tend to commit immoral acts for the sake of worldly goods. We fear poverty so much though we know that the punishment in the hereafter is even worse.

Here's a story that I want to share and  I want you to reflect on:

There is a man whom everyone knows as a religious man; he and his family live in prosperity. After years of so much provision, they became excessive, and Allah tested the man by taking his wealth. He recognized that it was indeed a test from Allah. However, though he is a learned man, he still has weaknesses and fears. The evil Satan finally captured him to commit sin by deceiving people, and to commit riba to please his family.

"True believers, consciously revere Allah and give up what is still due to you from the Riba, if you are true believers."

"If you do not do so, then take notice of war from Allah and His Messenger. But if you repent, you can have your principal. Neither should you commit injustice nor should you be subjected to it."
Al-Quran 2:278-279

After committing a sin that Allah hates, his life became even worse; his eldest son committed adultery, his other son committed fornication, and his other son went astray from the path of Allah. May Allah guide them back and forgive them.

In this story, Allah showed us what could possibly happen to us if we chose to please the people of desire. When the man committed a sin to please his family, instead of loving him back they even turned themselves away not only from him but also from Allah. And Allah knows best.

When afflictions come, we have to remain patient and grateful for whatever we have. Even if it's little and even when people are turning away from us because everything in this world will perish except Allah. And Allah is sufficient.

How to get OMA certificate in Manila?

Assalamualaykum! Today, I will be sharing how to get a "Certificate of Muslim Filipino Tribal Membership" and a "Certificate of Confirmation of Conversion to Islam," also known as an OMA Certificate.   When I converted to Islam, I didn't have any idea about the OMA certificate until I decided to go to Saudi Arabia; that's the only time I discovered that I needed it for visa stamping.   I've written this because not everyone knows where to go or how to get it. The good news is that the OMA certificate is completely free! and you can have it in just 30 minutes. Now, let me guide you step-by-step on how to get it. Note :  The policy and process might change, as I have written this 2017 Comment down below if you have experienced a new policy; it will be very helpful to others.   Let's make sure first that you have all the requirements that you need.   For born Muslims; a xerox copy of Aqeeqa -xerox copy of passport - 1 piece of 2x

Where to buy modest clothes in Philippines

Assalamualaykum, my dear sisters, Alhamdulillah, I have decided to make a section on my blog where you’ll find interviews and stories from various Muslims that are striving to please Allah. This is the second interview that I wrote here in my blog; the first one was  'Sincere advice for muslima on getting married' Today, I’ve written about Modarina , one of my favorite modest clothing brands locally that imports its products from the Middle East. Their products are not only gorgeous but also of good quality. I love the elegance and modesty of their clothing. It expresses something like, This is us, Muslims; modesty is elegant, and you can only find elegance through modesty.’ It gives us the confidence to show our identity as Muslims. Disclaimer : This is not a paid article, but with the generosity of our sister Umm Sarah, the CEO of Modarina, you can use this voucher to get 20% off on their products, valid only this year 2023. Use voucher code Hayat20.   Of course, I w
