Where to buy modest clothes in Philippines

Assalamualaykum, my dear sisters,

Alhamdulillah, I have decided to make a section on my blog where you’ll find interviews and stories from various Muslims that are striving to please Allah. This is the second interview that I wrote here in my blog; the first one was 'Sincere advice for muslima on getting married'

Today, I’ve written about Modarina, one of my favorite modest clothing brands locally that imports its products from the Middle East. Their products are not only gorgeous but also of good quality. I love the elegance and modesty of their clothing. It expresses something like, This is us, Muslims; modesty is elegant, and you can only find elegance through modesty.’ It gives us the confidence to show our identity as Muslims.

Disclaimer: This is not a paid article, but with the generosity of our sister Umm Sarah, the CEO of Modarina, you can use this voucher to get 20% off on their products, valid only this year 2023. Use voucher code Hayat20.

Of course, I want to know more about Modarina, which is why I decided to interview the person behind it. May Allah reward her for giving her time for this. And may you, my dear sister, benefit from it.

"I'm very passionate about promoting modest fashion, hence I started my brand to create clothing that not only looks great but also makes people feel confident and comfortable while being covered. This is inspired by my journey to wear the Hijab way back in 2011. Way back in 2019, there was a scarcity of abayas in the Philippines, and I believe that this type of garment should be inclusive and accessible to everyone. We specialize in selling Abayas from the Middle East, which means you’ll get an international quality item. We use only the highest quality materials and production methods to ensure that our garments are not only beautiful but also durable and long-lasting.

Our mission is to provide modest and fashionable clothing options that empower Muslim individuals to express their faith and personal style with confidence. We aim to create inclusive and diverse designs that celebrate the beauty of modesty while adhering to Islamic principles. Our vision is to be the leading national Muslim clothing brand in the Philippines, globally recognized for our commitment to quality, innovation, and ethical practices. We strive to inspire and uplift our customers by offering a wide range of stylish and versatile garments that cater to their modest requirements. Through our brand, we aim to foster unity, self-expression, and cultural appreciation within the Muslim community and beyond.

Modarina believes that selling Muslim clothing allows us to address the demand for modest and culturally appropriate attire among Muslim individuals. By providing a diverse range of options, Modarina can help people find clothing that aligns with their religious beliefs and personal style. It can also be a way to empower individuals to embrace their faith and identity confidently. By offering stylish options, Modarina can help people feel beautiful, confident, and proud of their modesty. Through selling Muslim clothing, Modarina has the opportunity to promote cultural appreciation and understanding. By showcasing the beauty and diversity of Islamic fashion, Modarina can foster inclusivity and bridge cultural gaps."

And lastly, I asked her if she had any advice for us sisters, and here’s her letter for you:

Dear Hijabi Sisters,

I want to take a moment to celebrate your strength, resilience, and unwavering determination. You are an inspiration to those around you and a beacon of light in a world that sometimes struggles to understand diversity.

With every choice you make to wear your hijab, you showcase your deep-rooted faith, your identity, and your commitment to modesty. Your hijab is not just a piece of fabric; it is a symbol of your inner beauty, grace, and the immense power that lies within you.

In a society that often focuses on external appearances, you stand tall, confident, and unapologetically yourself. You demonstrate that true beauty comes from within, emanating through your kind heart, your brilliant mind, and your unwavering spirit.

Your hijab is a testament to your courage as you navigate a world that may not always understand or appreciate your choices. Despite the challenges you may face, you remain steadfast in your beliefs, refusing to compromise your values for the sake of societal norms.

Through your actions, you break stereotypes and challenge misconceptions, proving that strength and femininity can coexist harmoniously. You embody the essence of empowerment, reminding us all that one's true power lies in embracing who they are, authentically and unapologetically.

Never forget the impact you have on others, especially those who may be silently inspired by your presence. Your hijab is a symbol of unity, bridging gaps and fostering understanding among diverse cultures and religions. By embracing your identity, you encourage dialogue, education, and acceptance in a world that often yearns for them.

As you go about your daily life, remember that you are not alone. You are part of a vibrant, diverse community of hijabis who support and uplift each other. Together, you create a tapestry of strength, resilience, and beauty that is unparalleled.

So, dear Hijabi, continue to shine brightly, radiating love, compassion, and grace wherever you go. Your hijab is a crown that adorns your head and reflects the beauty that resides within your soul. Embrace it, cherish it, and wear it with pride.

You are an inspiration, a trailblazer, and a force to be reckoned with. May your journey be filled with endless blessings, unwavering peace, and the knowledge that you are loved, cherished, and admired.

With utmost Admiration,

 Modarina

How to get OMA certificate in Manila?

Assalamualaykum! Today, I will be sharing how to get a "Certificate of Muslim Filipino Tribal Membership" and a "Certificate of Confirmation of Conversion to Islam," also known as an OMA Certificate.   When I converted to Islam, I didn't have any idea about the OMA certificate until I decided to go to Saudi Arabia; that's the only time I discovered that I needed it for visa stamping.   I've written this because not everyone knows where to go or how to get it. The good news is that the OMA certificate is completely free! and you can have it in just 30 minutes. Now, let me guide you step-by-step on how to get it. Note :  The policy and process might change, as I have written this 2017 Comment down below if you have experienced a new policy; it will be very helpful to others.   Let's make sure first that you have all the requirements that you need.   For born Muslims; a xerox copy of Aqeeqa -xerox copy of passport - 1 piece of 2x

The Essential Role of a Muslim Woman in Society

I grew up in a small town where you’ll find mansions that were built at the time of the Spanish Colonial. These ancestral houses are captivating and still standing firm like the Mount Makiling that you’ll get a glimpse of from our balcony. This is my hometown where my grandmother raised me. My grandmother got married at a very young age to an older man who came from a well-off family. She was illiterate and could only write her name for signing legal papers. She sacrificed her early age to look after her younger siblings, which caused her not to attend school. But despite this, she is contemplative, selfless, affectionate, and a loving daughter. Even with her husband's problematic habits and age difference, she remained committed to being a dutiful wife. She neither disrespected her husband nor rebelled against him. Her passion for keeping the house tidy, and cooking delicious dishes are among her skills to please my grandfather, and I admire her for that. "Men are in charge o

Allah is sufficient

Wealth is everyone's dream and trial. Rich or poor, we all want and need money. And with this, Allah tests us. Will you remain grateful? patient? What do we do when we finally have it? Some of us desperately want this because we are tired of being mocked, belittled, and cut because we somehow have nothing to offer. But why do we want to please these people? When Allah himself doesn't like these individuals who prefer this world.
